i have so much to think about today.

i recently got some sad news mixed in with positive news from a good friend. in her case it's hard to be positive, yet she is doing just that. when she reads this blog, she will know that i find her a true inspiration :)

today, i sold 2 sets of postcards for my ms walk fundraising. a portion of the sales from the ms walk section of my shop will go towards it.

i'm exhausted, yet i feel like i accomplished a lot. yesterday i decided that i will finally do weddings. people have told me for years that i should, good money and that i would be very good at it.

so i revamped my site(again) and added a wedding section(with prices), added maternity photos from a session, and raised my portrait session fees.

i still don't have a new printer, yet tomorrow i meet with the tax lady, so i'm being positive :D

tonight is a full lunar eclipse, it's hard to see from where we live as its pretty cloudy, but from what i can see, it's just gorgeous :D

this makes me happy and it will make you happy too!

as you can see by my other blog. but in case you didn't here's a recap:

my large printer is busted. i need to get the printer head replaced, a.k.a get a new printer. it sucks and there's nothing that i can do about it, but generate more sales to my etsy store

and sell what i have already. i really need to sell my larger framed pieces. at $200 a pop, even with a portion going towards the MS Walk, i will be able to afford a new printer.

so i'm doing what i can not to get too run down about it. in the meantime, i can have stuff printed at a lab, but not quite the way i prefer.

i have some film that i need to use up, so i've been shooting with my film cameras a bit. also been going through old negs and scanning them.

dave and i have been working with a client named frank. i just designed his business card, set him up with a website domain and host. used a template from godaddy.com to get him on the right track so that he can add/delete from home. dave's been working on his reel to add to the site as well.

speaking of dave, he's working hard as usual, keeping an eye open for better gigs. the film he's been cutting is so almost done we can all taste it!

sure i can still rant and bitch, it's our God Given Right as humans.

BUT

this is supposed to be my year....year of the rat. so while my daughter calmly drags a heavy wooden chair with her seat in it to her play area in the hall(yeah shes supa strong, like bull!), i've also been networking like a mad woman for my business.

holidays were great, but i really miss home and the east coast. keegan's got the right idea! i miss my parents and i have come to realize that i need to be home closer to family and friends that will be able to help me out more. my fatigue is getting worse, although i have some good days.

i am doing my very best to get work done here, but frankly, i need daily help. my family has found me help twice a week at their expense for a cleaning lady who is a SAINT! i am dog dead tired before noon and my strength isn't what it was last year.

tomorrow i have a shoot(for free, yet again) but its in the spirit of paying it forward. a group pf photographers and i are spreading good karma in the hopes of making this a very good year.

BRAND NEW Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock for the Nintendo Wii Game System

In Box Never Opened, just bought it a few days ago I will give you the receipt (shown in picture)!

Here’s the deal:

So I spent who knows how many hours of my life trying to get “Guitar Hero 3” for the Nintendo Wii for my 15 year old son who has been begging for it since he was born (well not really but he’s wanted it for awhile). So after waiting in lines and going into every game store in the city over the last 2 weeks (practically being laughed at when I asked for guitar hero 3) I finally got lucky and got one at EB Games (they just got a shipment of them 25 minutes before I walked in!).

So I was so relieved in that I had finally got the Holy Grail of Xmas presents pretty much just in the nick of time. I couldn’t wait to spread the jubilance to my son.

Then, yesterday, I came home from work early and what to I find? My innocent little boy smoking pot in the backyard with 2 of his delinquent friends.

Now I know santa applies the “naughty or nice” paradigm to determine who gets what on Christmas. My son (Isaac) hasn’t exactly been Mother Teresa this year (he got suspended for fighting in the spring, among other things) but I thought I could still justify getting him this present. Maybe it would make him stay home more and “rock out” on this fake guitar thing. He pretty much spends all his free time at his friend’s house playing it anyways (while high on marijuana, I would imagine).

Anyways, I am now finding it hard to justify rewarding him with this gift after he so greatly disappointed me. I know smoking a joint isn’t the end of the world, but if you can convince me that he deserves the gift, then I will end the auction. You will have to be very convincing. I am an elementary school teacher and I know that rewarding bad behavior is just asking for more of the same…

After I caught him getting high on my patio I did the typical yelling, screaming, kicking out the friends, etc… but I had not decided on a suitable way to punish him. As of the time of me writing this, he does not know I got him Guitar Hero 3. I will show him the auction once it is posted and we can watch it finish together. Sort of a “Father-Son bonding experience”. While I doubt this will keep him from ever smoking pot again, I think it will make him think twice before doing illegal (well I think pot is still illegal in Canada) drugs on my property.

I am still considering getting him a game for his Nintendo. Maybe something like Barbie as the Island Princess or Dancing With the Stars. These games are in stock everywhere I go, and I know he will just love them.

today was my first copaxone injection. i used to be on betaseron, but it was making my feel like shite. i hope and pray that this will work out for me.

check out the injection reaction site....gnarly, huh? bugger stung and itched, but after applying some ice to "the wound" it got better. but the welt is still there, pretty red, i think it'll be there until at least tomorrow.

i inject every day. i need to inject in a different site every day. the sites are:
arms, upper thighs, abs, and my sides, right about the hip bones.

i belong to a MOMSclub and during the larchmont fair, i donated a gift certificate for them to raffle off for their fundraiser. a lot of people apparently bought tickets just for it. it includes:

yesterday i went to a playdate thing with jayden. i joined the mom club for the mid wilshire area. i actually met them on the MS walk. melissa, one of the members, she has MS too and so she is my main reason for joining. she has 2 kids and is also on copaxone. she has a nanny help her even though she's at home with the kids.

so the playgroup is called frogs and tadpoles, and we met over in koreatown, only a mile away. it was a lot of fun, got to meet the other moms and their kids that were in jayden's age group. she wore her costume and she'll wear again tonight too :) here we are as we were about to leave:

so the betaseron was making me like shit every other day or more. plus it left red "chemical" burns on my injection sites and those will take a while to heal and go away.

so dr. orfuss is putting me on copaxone. it's an every day injection and is supposed to be more tolerable than betaseron.

my EEG is actually on monday the 5th. my doc and i talked about it. and he's concerned, very concerned about my seizures, twitching, inability to talk when it's happening, etc. he asked again what kind of falls i had while training for show jumping. some i thought weren't so bad, might be causing these to happen. but we can't be so sure just yet.

ok, i'm tired, i would rather be taking pictures or playing outside with jayden. but the air quality sucks the big one. you can barely make out the downtown skyline from my place and i'm not even half a mile from the center either.....

to be perfectly honest, i haven't' really thought much about it recently. i mean, i thought i would have at least 2 kids by now, a well established photo career and owning a house, and have had our student loans paid off.

now, i just hope that dave can get a night off and the 3 of us have a nice halloween day with dinner. i don't even really know where to take jayden. she has the cutest little witch costume:D i cannot wait to put it on her and take pictures!!!!

i just wish the weather was much, much cooler, feeling more like fall. i love to wear sweaters and bundle up with a blanket on the couch and read a good book. this warm weather is just not for me....i do better in the cold :D dave calls me a new england "blue-blood" since my hands and feet run cold ;) my dad's side of the family sleeps with the indoor temps set at 60 degrees in the winter time...ahhhh!

the best was when i was in college in beverly, ma, was after classes to go off to one of the local beaches or take a drive all throughout the cape ann areas. i just enjoyed having my sunroof open, music blaring and just enjoying the crisp air and scenery. the beaches were pretty quiet, no one around so that you could just sit by yourself and listen to mother nature.

Now the thing that pains me to say is this:
For my family and friends,
I simply cannot afford to do freebies anymore. This for me sucks as I love you all so much. We offer each other so much love and support. I am so sorry everyone!!!!

Other things have come up with my health. I was visiting with my friend, Kristen and her two sons with Dave and Jayden. I suddenly felt nauseous(and you who know me know that never happens to me) and I started to twitch and shake on my right side and I couldn't talk. Last time this happened i landed myself in the ER.

I have an EEG next week, and I am talking with my neuro tomorrow about switching from Betaseron to either Rebif or Copaxone. betaseron makes me sick this go around. i had to stop it when i was pregt, but now that i am sadly no longer and i have to go back on it, my body appears to be rejecting it. but these seizures are a rare symptom of MS. it depends on the location of the leisions in my brain. so i may also need another MRI. i saw my neuro last week and again this week too.

so yay. if this is happening, that makes TWO rare ms symptoms i will have:( that would mean more drugs to take, which means to really think about getting prgt again all more hard to achieve :( sucks......

so i NEED my business to work, for me, my sanity. i'll be less stressed out once i get work and help dave out with the bills. we want a house and a good education for Jayden, get our bills paid off, you know, normal stuff.

Trouble on the road for Van Halen. They are using a digital playback system for the synth and additional instruments. The important thing is to make sure the play back is set for 44.1 khz not 48khz otherwise it plays a little faster and a little higher pitch the result can heard here.

I found this on www.myspace.com and thought it pretty funny ;) not everyone with MS has all of these, but i have quite a "few". the itch is the one and only one you'll hear me complain about. thank GOD it's gone for now...

When We Say We Can't do Something Because We don't Feel Well,
Put yourself in Our Shoes By Using The Examples of our Symptoms Below...

- Painful Heavy Legs: Apply Tightly 20 LB ankle weights and 15 LB thigh weights then take a 1 mile walk, clean the house, go shopping and then sit down - how ya' feeling now?

- Painful Feet: Put equal or unequal amounts of small pebbles in each shoe then take a walk, if we are mad at you we would prefer needles to pebbles.

- Loss of Feeling in Hands and/or Arms: Put on extra thick gloves and a heavy coat then try and pick up a pencil, if successful stab yourself in the arm.

- Loss of Feeling in Feet and/or Legs: Ask a doc for a shot of Novocaine in both of your legs and then try and stand up and walk without looking like the town drunk. Hopefully you won't fall down.

- TN (Trigeminal Neuralgia): Take an ice pick and jam it into your ear or cheek whenever the wind blows on it, or a stray hair touches it. If you want something easier to do, get someone to punch you in the jaw preferably daily.

- Uncontrollable Itching: Glue or sew small steel wool pads to the inside of your shirt, pants and undergarments wear them for an entire day.

- Tingling: Stick your finger in an electrical socket - preferably wet.

- Tight Banded Feeling: Put 12 inch wide belt around you and make is as tight as you can and leave it there for the entire day. How ya' breathing?

- Shots: Fill one of our spare needles with saline solution, saline won't hurt you, we would love something worse but don't want to end up in jail. Give yourself a shot everytime we do our shot.

- Side Effects From the Shot: Bang you head against a wall, wrap yourself in a heating pad, wrap your entire body with an ace bandage tightly then finally treat yourself to some spoiled food or drink.

- Trouble Lifting Arms: Apply 20 LB wrist weights and try and reach for something on the highest shelf in your house.

- Spasticity: Hook bungee cords to your rear belt loops and rear pant leg cuffs then for your arms hook bungee cords to your shirt collar and cuffs on shirt sleeves then go dancing.

- Poor Hearing/Buzzing in Ears: Put a bee in each ear and then put a plug in each
one...Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

- Balance and Walking Problems: Drink 100 proof grain alcohol and then sit and spin in an office chair for 30 minutes, now get up and see what happens.

Urgently Needing to Pee: We put a .5 liter remote controlled water bag and drip tube in your pants, we point out 2 restrooms in a crowded mall, then we tell you that you have 30 seconds before we activate the water bag (by remote control) to get to a restroom. Just for spite we may make that 20 seconds without telling you.

- Bizarre and Inexplicable Sensations: Place tiny spiders on your legs or arms and
allow them to periodically crawl around throughout the day, heck all day would be good too.

- Pins and Needles: Stab yourself repeatedly with needles all over your body or better yet....Get a very large tattoo in your most sensative area.

- Dizziness (Vertigo): Get on a gently rocking boat all day and all night and take
several walks around the deck with your eyes closed.

- Fatigue: Stay awake for two full days to induce incredible fatigue and then cook dinner, clean the house, walk the dog and see how you feel. Please do not compare MS fatigue to you being tired from only a few hours of sleep - it's not the
same at all.

- Cognitive Function (Brain Fog): Take a liberal dose of sleeping pills but stay awake. Try and function properly and think clearly. To make it even more real without killing yourself of course, take the sleeping pills with a small sip of wine.

- Bowel Problems: Take a 4 day dose of an anti-diarrhea medicine followed directly by a 3 day dose of stool softeners for a minimum of 3 weeks, at the end of 3 weeks sit down on a hard uncushioned chair and stay there
till tears appeared.

- Burning Feeling: Make a full pot of boiling water and then have someone fill a squirt gun with the boiling water and shoot it at yourself all day long. However, you can give us the pleasure of shooting you instead...optional of course.

- Intention Tremor: Hook your body to some type of vibrating machine try and move your legs and arms.....hmmm are you feeling a little shaky? You are not allowed to use anything fun for this lesson.

- Buzzing Feeling When Bending Our Heads to Our Chest (L'Hermitte's):
Place an electrical wire on your back and run it all the way down to your feet, then pour water on it and plug it in.

- Vision Problems (Optic Neuritis): Smear vaseline on glasses and then wear them to read the newspaper.

- Memory Issues: Have someone make a list of items to shop for and when you come back that person adds two things to the list and then they ask why you didn't get them. When you come back from shopping again they take the list and
erase three things and ask why you bought those things.

- Foot Drop: Wear one swim fin and take about a 1/2 mile walk, nothing else needs to be said for this one, you'll get it.

- Depression: Take a trip to the animal shelter everyday and see all the lonely animals with no home. You get attached to one or more of the animals and when you come back the next day you come in while they are putting her/him asleep.

- Fear: Dream that you have lost complete feeling in your feet and when you wake up wiggle your feet, just so happens they don't move. Think about this every night wondering whether something on your body won't work the next day when you wake up.

- Swallowing: Try swallowing the hottest chili pepper you can find.

- Heat Intolerance or Feeling Hot When it's Really Not: You are on a nice vacation to Alaska. It's 35° outside and 65° inside. Light a fire for the fireplace and then get into it. Once you have reached about 110° tell me how you feel, even a person
without MS would feel bad, now add all of the above symptoms - welcome to
our world.

Then Finally...

After subjecting yourself to the items above, let everyone tell you that you
are just under a lot of stress, it's all in your head and that some exercise
and counseling is the answer.

ok, i woke up this morning and i feel like i was run over by a caravan of ice road truckers.....basically i feel like i have the flu. this is just a side effect of my body getting used to the betaseron. sucks but i can't do anything but suck it up and do what i can to be around for jayden.

today however, i couldn't. thankfully, dave had an online interview at 10AM PST and just stayed up and allowed me to rest after his interview was over. all i could do was lie in bed all fracking day. poor dave. the worst is my eyes hurt badly causing a headache that just won't go away and i've been popping tylenol and fiorcet all day long. nothing helps.

i'll be feeling like this every fracking day for at least a month.

sucks ASS.

later this afternoon, jayden FINALLY went down for her nap, letting both of us take a nap. poor dave.....i honestly do try, but its so frackin hard, feeling like this and the worst part is that i could barely spend time with jayden today. we sorta caught up this evening, but still....it's not fair to her. she may not realize it now, but soon she will and that hurts me greatly.

in a month i'll be on the full dosage, so hopefully by then my body will be like...ok, i'm fine now, lets start getting stuff done..kind of thing.

sigh....ok, pity party over. i really don't feel right venting about this at all, but if i don't then what's the point, i'm only human :P

so yeah we've been back almost 2 weeks now. looking forward to being among the gang.

joe, i'm so sorry that we didn't call you guys :( david and i weren't able to rent a car, and we had such a limited time back home. sorry excuse, we know, but it's the awful truth. there were a lot of friends and family we weren't able to visit or have time to even call up. david and i were plainly worn out from his job, and the hell of having to go through we happened to us. and finally being around our family and they were more than happy to help us with jayden so that we could rest a little.

when we left l.a., jayden was just starting to walk, but as soon as we hit n.j. soil..BAM! she got up and just walked over to my parent's 17 stairs and went up them as though she always lived there!

she got to "swim" in the atlantic and literally went after the waves, we had to hold her back so she wouldn't float away!

we had a great time back home. got to see jon and amy at their house in the philly area, it was great seeing them again. we miss them both very much. tried to see john stone, but it just wasn't possible.

so we brought back a new child, as well as new changes in myself. i had a mini makeover :)

now that my depression is more under control, tonight i start my betaseron. the plan is to be on it for 6 months at the very least. by then we'll see what to do in terms of having another baby, actually have a plan. i need to be off the treatment for at least 2 months before ttc(trying to conceive) again. the biggest concern is that if we lived closer to family, then we would have the help that we need. but first i need to protect myself with the treatments.

i say protect loosely as i was on treatment when my relapse started. i HATE to self-inject every other day. there are other self-injectables that are either everyday(copaxone) or once a week(the needle on that one is HUGE, made to go into the muscle, called avonex and you can have a nurse administer it for you at home), once a month(that one is administered as an IV, called tysbril), or every 3 days(i think that one's rebif). i am protected when prgt, women with ms and are prgt, our bodies go into remission, but can have a relapse afterwards(which did happen to me earlier this past summer).

BUT

i'm thankful that there is something out there. before there wasn't as many choices or none at all.

overall, being at home, i did well with the mugginess. i did have some problems with my right arm, it went numb and tingly from my entire hand up to my shoulder and it lasted a little over an hour. and i exp'd "some" problems with my right leg at times, but it never lasted too long. just a reminder about what i have :P

being with family and old friends was GREAT. i got some feedback on my work that opening a studio in my town would be very well received as so many there know me and my family as i'm a "townie". some of the business owners there are family friends of ours, so they said that they would be more than happy to let my dad hand out mini postcards with my business on them to advertise my digital retouching and restoration. preservation is very important in my town, so we'll see what happens.

david is back to work and already wishing he wasn't there. the day after jayden's l.a. party, i was on a set of a small indie film and david was offered the job of cutting it the night before we left. so with the help of our other laptop and borrowing the latest final cut pro, he was able to do a rough cut while we were away.

even with an injury....

we drove over to selinsgrove, pa to visit his aunt betty and his parents. my parents have never met her, so we all went together. it was a great visit and aunt betty was just thrilled to see jayden in person for the first time :D

dave was holding jayden in his lap and she reached up to his face and scratched his right eye. so bad that in fact he had to go to the ER. since our stay in selinsgrove was an overnight anyway, he held out until we back to nj. we were then thrilled to find out that robert wood hospital in hamilton was in our ppo network! WHEW! still had our $75 co-pay, but we were covered. turns out dave had a really badly scratched cornea and had to go on a little perkaset and eyedrop antibiotics. he healed up really well and was able to function normally.

overall, jayden remains a very happy, thriving baby/toddler. walking a lot, signing more, even MORE curious about everything:D no problems on the plane at all, not even during take off and landings. actually she enjoyed the rush of speed :D she's been climbing more and more too, so we've been searching through craisglist to get a little tikes/step 2 outdoor play area with a slide. we found some, but being on a strict budget, we're looking for a great deal on something for her.

so yeah, we're looking forward to seeing everyone again :D

so i get jayen down around 8PM. she got her 8 ounce "latte" and was out cold.

30 mins later, i hear my neighbors bringing in their trash bins..this woke her up.

she's screeching and carrying on, so i try the teething gel, let her gnaw on something(but she doesn't want it), some ice in a special netting thing made by munchkin..nada....gave her a squirt of tylenol..nothing.

she's arching her back and squirming with sheer pain, making howler monkey noises like you never heard...so i call her ped..she calls back...says to up the tylenol, if she's still screeching in pain(she got a taste of it on her v.m) i'm to take her to the ER. and to definitely bring her in tomorrow.

finally she calms down, and starts being the happy baby i know..talking, pointing, etc. now she wants to party of course. but at the same time she's trying to sleep too and fighting it :)

so it's 10PM..she's been sleeping for roughly 20 minutes. i'm so glad she's sleeping, she's so worn out, so's mommy who's sick as a dog and wouldn't be able to drive anywhere let alone to the ER...

poor kid..poor me..ok, going to lie down in my own bed and try to sleep myself....i really wish that dave was home tonight..

so yeah i'm still here ;) so..here i am...still here :)

those who are close by to me know that my mom arrived early for her extended visit to l.a. following my hospital stay. she has been wonderful(and at times frusterating lol) helping us get our home back in order and organized.

in my "formal" life, while i was never a neat freak, i was organized, i love to cook, and i even enjoyed house cleaning and doing laundry. it's hard for others to imagine not being able to do this due in part to extreme fatigue and depression. you loose all motivation for all that you love and more. it hurts you and others....

so, while she has been out here, while we planned on doing fun things, i have still been unwell. i had a month long migraine that affected my right eye and now, everytime i go outside, it feels like a red hot poker is stabbing that eye all the way to my brain. my sunglasses are my best friend.

for that month i have been on fiorcet eveyday and now i must carry it with me everywhere i go. one night the pain was so bad, i almost had to go to the ER as i was maxed out on maxalt, and i was to recieve a demerol injection.

my fatigue has been bad to ok depending.

recently this week, my right arm is numb. actually it started with my right thumb and has travelled up to my shoulder. with it came what my neuro and i thought could be an allergic reaction to lexapro.

my right side of my face from forehead to cheek has had these HORRIBLE itchiness, like bugs crawling inside my skin. no redness, no hives, no rashes at all. i can't sleep, it's like, no wait, it is TORTURE!

here is what i found online last night:

Pruritis (itching) may occur as a symptom of MS. It is one of the family of abnormal sensations - such as burning, stabbing, or tearing pains, or "pins and needles" feelings - which may be experienced by people with MS. These sensations are known as dysesthesias, and they are neurologic in origin.

Different from Allergic Itching
Dysesthetic itching may occur suddenly and intensely, but for brief periods. It may be present over any part of the body or face. It is different from the generalized itching that can accompany an allergic reaction as there is no external skin rash or irritation at the site of itching. Corticosteroid ointments applied to the skin are not helpful in relieving this type of itch.

Medications Can Treat Itching Associated with MS
There are, however, several medications that are generally successful in treating dysesthetic itching. Among them are: anticonvulsants, such as carbamazepine (Tegretol®) and diphenylhydantoin (Dilantin®) antidepressants, such as amitriptyline (Elavil®) and the MAO inhibitors an antihistamine, hydroxyzine (Atarax®). People who experience itching should consult their physician.

I present two female MS patients aged 36 and 40 years in whom paroxysmal itching was a prominent sensory symptom which occurred at the onset of treatment with external picoTesla range magnetic fields (MF) and coincident with the process of neurologic recovery. This report suggests that picoTesla range MF may cause activation of neuronal transmission along partially demyelinated axons of pain conduction in the spinal cord. The occurrence of rapid neurologic recovery with initiation of treatment with MF supports the notion that impaired synaptic conductivity rather than demyelination underlies some of the neurologic deficits of MS.

oh "yay"....

i am so tired, i can't even sleep on my right side as makes my face itch more, and when i don't it still itches, waking me up feeling like a dog that can't get rid of something...so far, this is the WORST MS thing i have had to deal with so far...and it SUCKS ASS! :(:(

oh and there's more:
i finally got a disabled card that hangs from my rearview mirror in my car. the plus side is i get to park almost anywhere and i don't get to pay the meter ;) so i guess i'm "official" :P

oh and one more thing:
we were invited to dave & jodi's housewarming. i wrote down that it was this past sunday. well, i'm a DODO! it's THIS coming saturday! sigh...at least we all have a good sense of humor about it :)P

here are the great things that have been going on otherwise:

1. my mom, my husband, my daughter and my dog.

2. a week before my hospital stay, i had received the gift of a new camera. a canon 20d complete with vertical grip, extra batteries, 2 lenses, new bag, a 2 gig card, etc. i LOVE it!!!!

3. i did a maternity photoshoot of one of my best friends from NDHS, lisa. she is literally due anyday now with a little girl. so i shot her and hubby henri at their home in del mar on the beach. it's literally their backyard. they turned out really great :)

4. my daughter got her ears pierced. i'm half puerto rican, so this is the norm for baby girls to have done. and omg! she looks so cute!

5.new tires for my car.

6. gorgeous weather, love the "june gloom" :D

'Islamic radicals' arrested in plot to kill Fort Dix soldiers
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Six "Islamic radicals" involved in a plot to kill U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix in New Jersey were arrested Monday night, the U.S. attorney's office in New Jersey said Tuesday.

One of the suspects was born in Jordan, another in Turkey, the U.S. attorney's office said. The rest are believed to be from the former Yugoslavia, "either U.S. citizens or living illegally in the United States," the office said in a statement.

"Their alleged intention was to conduct an armed assault on the army base and to kill as many soldiers as possible," according to the statement.

The six are expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Camden on Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. attorney's office said in a statement.

The district attorney scheduled a news conference at 2:30 p.m. ET to discuss the case.

The men were planning to use automatic weapons to shoot soldiers at the Army post, according to a federal law enforcement source and a senior government source.

The men, some of whom were related to each other, had been doing surveillance and planning "for a while," and they trained in the Poconos Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania, according to the federal law enforcement source.

They played paintball and test-fired weapons, a law enforcement source said.

New Jersey state troopers and the FBI were involved in investigating and arresting the suspects. An informant played a key role in the investigation, the sources said.

One of the sources said there is a video and an audiotape of the planning.

The Newark Star-Ledger reported on its Web site that the men took a videotape of their practice sessions to a store to have it burned to a DVD, and that a store employee contacted the FBI because of the video's contents.

Sources told the Star-Ledger the men were lured to a meeting with an FBI informant posing as an arms dealer. The newspaper's sources requested anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case.

While authorities are glad to have arrested them, the individuals are "hardly hard core terrorists," one law enforcement source said.

Another source said that while the allegations are "troubling," they are "not the type that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up."

Fort Dix is used to train members of the Army Reserve and National Guard for missions in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world.

It was used in 1999 to house ethnic Albanian refugees from Kosovo, according to the Defense Department Web site.

it's really bizarre to me. i live in bordentown, nj, and as you can see by the map, we live really close to dix.

my mom and her family lived on base while my grandpa was active duty mstr sgt. my uncle wilfredo was born there, this was my mom's family last stop and once he retired, they moved to bordentown.

my parents met and married on base. i grew up near ft. dix, so every week i was there for swimming lesons, camp, brunch, dinners @ the O Club(Officer's Club), Mass(when we knew we were going to be on base shopping on sundays). my grandfather would take me with him to the commissary when it opened at 7AM and i would help him shop. he then took me to the cafeteria at the PX. this was the older buildings, when the cafeteria actually served fresh made buffet style food, not fast food like today.

4th of july was always fun. we'd go to base always for the live band, canons and watch the fireworks.

my uncle wil helped to build the new px & comissary and the burger king, & quickie mart on base too. dave & i had our wedding reception at club dix(the o club is closed).

before we got married i was able to go on base and go tax free shopping at the px(comissary i couldn't unless my parents were with me) with my ID. and i had access to all the other on base ammendities too.

my dad, a retired lt. col. army, goes there almost everyday with my grandfather, to sit and drink coffee with the other vets and gossip. it's cute ;) my dad when he can, still volunteers at his 404th unit. people on base know him and my grandfather and those that know their rank will offer a salute in passing, even though they are not in uniform. more of a show of respect :)

people on base are great, friendly, and are always there to help you out. it's a huge piece of land and you can easily get lost there ;)

let's hope that this sort of thing doesn't happen again...anywhere....even with stupid terroist without their own video/dvd equipment :P

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Police took a super hero into custody after he allegedly attacked a woman in a Florida bar.

Melbourne police officials said Raymond Adamcik, who was dressed as Captain America, made rude suggestions to a woman in the bar and grabbed her between her thighs.

Police said after Adamcik had his booking photo taken, he tried to flush a bag of marijuana and a rolled joint down the toilet.

Adamcik has been charged with battery, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and destruction of evidence, authorities said.

Melbourne police said the altercation stemmed from a pub crawl sponsored by a pharmaceutical company. Those who attended the crawl were wearing costumes.

yes, we're still here :)

dave's been adjusting to his new schedule at work. he's on the night shift doing rough cuts of segments for made in america with john razenberger. he works from 6AM-3AM, sometimes a bit later as he gets so wrapped up in what he's doing he doesn't realize the time.

however, it's much quieter and he can concentrate better. as some of you may remember, dave is NOT a morning person ;)traffic is hell going in, but coming home it's easy, and this way he also gets to park in the garage.

he's still getting used to things. the plus side is he gets to be at home while jayden is up. he does get to sleep in, i try to let him do that. jayden however, is a howler monkey and is talking a lot, and hasn't found her indoor voice yet ;)

spread da' word...........

other than that, jayden is cutting a tooth on the front lower part of her mouth. it's pretty sharp! she so far has a lot of drool, a bit more fussy(also we think another growth spurt) and literally going after everything to chew on of course..including canela. she is sleeping throughout the night, so far.

the little spawn has been on solids for a little over a month. ummmmm, yummy bland food! the rice ceral she loves mixed with formula and either carrots or green beans. still has the bottle too. kid has a hearty appetite, like her dad ;)

next week she starts on pureed chicken, oh the poop is going to be FANTASTIC! WOOHOO! dave has never experienced solid food poop on a baby before, so his reaction i plan on getting on "film".

she is trying to crawl too. been gearing up for this for a long time. there are times she gets frusterated, and ends up accidentally bonking her head on the floor, ouch! so far she is rocking, doing the yoga pose, downward dog, and while on her back she likes to scoot on her head. when also in a crawling pose, she is trying to move forward, on her head as well...i can't help but picture that scene in parenthood when their youngest likes to ram his head into things while wearing a bucket on his head....

also getting head butted has been a treat. i was in a car accident in college and busted my nose, so i'm still pretty sensitive, trying to not get hit there at least. but the other night while dave was at work, her head met my teeth(i was talking to console her) and wow! she started howling and i'm trying to make her feel better while making sure none of my top front teeth were loose. after about a minute she was fine, laughing and be the happy baby she always is ;)

my mom is flying out for a month on may 22nd. i'm excited and so relieved! i need help! also she'll be here for my show, so that'll be great :D

i had to replace my cell phone. the plus side is it takes better pictures, and i can record 15 second videos :)

also, heather and i have been walking in santa monica, doing about 3 miles. i scored a jogger stroller at the salvation army for $20 and heather uses hers with syd and away we go!

i'm back down to 100 lbs, my normal weight, which is where i was in high school and throughout college. i'm trying to gain a little more, but it's not working. i'm like my dad, high metabolism, so whatever i eat, it doesn't matter. to be honest, i thought that i would never get back down to normal, so my size 2 jeans and pants i donated. boy was i wrong! i had to go out and get at least a couple jeans that fit and don't sag, etc. my feet are completly back to normal, so my cute heeled shoes fit! YAY!

here is a recent item we needed that we found through craigslist:
moss green sectional sleeper sofa with a queen sized bed: $100
so when you all come on over, there is actually a place to sit. and the foldout was never used :D it's all clean and good(insert comment by devo here_____________)

also, i was walking around our neighborhood after walking over to the post office and saw a used appliance place. i went in and saw that they had a great stand-alone freezer for sale. the guy sold it to me for $80! it fits perfectly in our kitchen next the fridge. now, we can really stock up on meat & frozen veggies, etc. also, i can make jayden's food and freeze it. not only that, but it also make a perfect height for me to use as a counter space. the standard height counters are too tall for me :(

we have been selling/donating stuff too, which helps. the freezer and couch we needed.

we are all extremly happy :D i haven't felt this way in 10 years! a lot of our friends have seen me in only rough times and now, i feel more like myself again!!!! i think the treatments are helping as well as my other meds. finacially, things be better, but really, we couldn't be happier. we have a nice place to live, food on the table, so much to be thankful for :D

so in a nutshell, that's what's been going on over here at the ryan residence. we miss everyone and hope to have visitors soon :)

everyone has their problems in or within life in general. some more than others. it's hard to see or know that when you think you have it badm you know that there are more in worst off than you. it's sad but that's the truth. or when you and everything in your life is going GREAT, and then soemone you know and love is not...

at least there are places to vent, get it out of your system and move on. it's not that we are not happy, in general we are VERY happy. it's just that we are in a rough patch of land here...

dave had yesterday off so, we went for a stroll along venice beach. there, jayden had her very first time on the swings:

i used to work in venice beach, and there was a new place that opened up, actually 2...mao's and a mini donut place. mao's is still there, AWESOME and CHEAP chinese on pacific and the mini donut place is still there, a dozen, fresh while you watch only $2.50 :D i don't really like donuts, but these i'll eat. i'm one of those that can pass anything sweet and not want it. it was great to walk around in the fresh air, windy, but great weather! took some pictures by cell phone, sent them(free) to friends on the right coast, dealing with the weather.

please know that this is not a complaint, only a vent. i seem to be doing that a lot lately...

as a few of you know already, i am not working, but i am desperatly looking for a job. my last job at trashy, i was promised images for my print portfolio, not for online use and i was denied for no reason other than my boss was in a bad mood. i feel completely betrayed and angry at him, since i worked my ASS off, literally. not only that, i feel that as an employee, i tried to be a nice person to be around, and be pleasant and work hard. so i don't have any before & after of the retouching i did. "THANKS" TRASHY!

oh, and i wasn't able to take advantage of getting anything for myself. i know, i know, i could've but i didn't ahve the time, and they made it such a fucking hard time to do that. i really wished now that i did. i still have my wishlist...

ok, so i started looking for work to be my dream, a photogapher, get my business going finally. i took it as a sign, trying to see the positive.

then i FINALLY became pregnant, our dream had come true!

now, i am a happy mother of a gorgeous and beautiful baby girl, whom i love dearly. i have no regrets :D

but now, we are in deep $$ trouble. i am praying that our electricity doesn't get shut off today. my husband works very hard to support us. he has a steady gig and has great benefits. but since i am not working, we are falling behind fast and hard.

i am so upset, that i cannot sleep. i have NEVER been in a situation like this. i am looking for work EVERY day. and i can't take certain jobs, as we cannot afford childcare in any way. so i need to find work to do from home. if i work full time away from home, unless the job pays a minimum of $45K, most, perhaps all of it will go towards childcare. part time away from home, all of it would go towards childcare. babysitters START at $10-$15 an hour. i'm not saying they should be paid less, it's a hard ass job to do. we can't ask family either, they ALL live on the on the east coast. i do have an uncle out here with his partner, but my uncle is an ASSHOLE(long story there), while i love him(he is blood after all), his partner, has been wonderful and i love him dearly.

and i'm desperately trying to get my photo business off the ground here, hard to do, i can't even afford to advertise. so i try to network where ever i go, with my business cards and my charm ;) but i'm running low on my cards, NO one is calling, i can't afford to get anymore biz cards, i can't afford postage for anything, and i cannot afford to advertise anywhere. if i print any from home, i can't afford the ink.

basically i'm in a serious catch 22 here.

david is also doing his very best to look for an editing gig, NOT to be an assistant editor. thing is, having MS, no private insurance will cover me, or if they do, it will be more than a los angeles home mortgage payment. so basically david is stuck at his job and it's sick that with his salary, if we lived anywhere else(other than NYC or san fransico) we would be able to afford a decent house(not renting), and be able to be on top of our bills.

i am praying for God, trying my very best to send out good vibes, saying to myself that something will turn up for us both. WAMU took out over $300 out of my account to pay for overdraft charges to our joint. their computers screwed us for xmas. all checks and other expenses went through on ONE day. we were charged over $500 in overdraft charges!!!!!! merry fucking xmas huh? we are careful with our $$, we have cut out a lot out of our expenses, and we thought we were doing ok, as we were keeping track of that account. the reason was the the WAMU computers deducted all of our bills, etc that we paid, etc on ONE FUCKING DAY!

we decided to switch to USAA immediatly right before we left to go home. it was easy, but hell-ish as we had pretty much nothing to go home with. at least we were going home..

so, since my name is on that now defunct account, WAMU took out money from my personal account to pay towards that. i am so SCREWED!!!! i called them literally crying and apologizing for behaving that way(i used to be in customer service so i remembered hating it when people did that to me too). i had just gotten the letter about this on the 13th, and they did this on the 6th!!!! all this time, i had made out checks for my car payment, student loan, food shopping, medical bills that were very late, my MS treatment(for at least one more month, after that i have no idea what to do, i'm applying for help). my parents had GRACIOUSLY been helping out, and to know that my bank did this with THEIR gift makes me sick to my stomach. they were able to reverse 2 bank charges since 2 bills that were auto deducted tried to go through. we were STILL charged on something that didn't go through! other than that, my money will NOT be returned!

i am so royally fucked!!!!!!!

my unemployment has run out, i have so many bills, i can't tell my parents this. OH and we owe to the IRS, both state and federal since we got bad advice about our paychecks and how much we were SUPPOSED to take out for 2005. and we can't afford the minimum on those either. so whatever we get back goes straight to that.

i am in tears as i write this. i woke up at 4AM, i can't sleep. i am so very worried. and yes, i'm applying EVERYWHERE. so whatever you say, i've done. and no, i cannot afford to work for free or even barter, sorry folks, no more, i need MONEY! i NEED a break here! david NEEDS a break! he is a good man, husband and editor! he desperatly needs to get out of his job and on to something better. NO ONE at his job is giving him the break he needs to be an editor there. the producers the owner, his supervisor, NO ONE!!!!!! what the FUCK does he have to do? his position as an asst. editor, he should be doing rough edit cuts. but NOOOOOOO!!!! he's basically an avid and final cut pro TECH. he has gain hardly anything for his editor reel. i hurt for him! he works so hard and needs a break to make the money he deserves...

i've TRIED to work as an associate producer there too. actually, producers wanted to hire me, BUT his asshole of a boss, one of the owners, wouldn't let me. and gave no reason why. i've been told it's because i have actually ambition in life to move up in the world and that i'm too smart for the job. WHAT THE FUCK? he is truly the devil. he's nice to your face, but behind your back he's an asshole....my mother who's met him ONCE had him figured out, and he knew this, i could see it in his face :D

what i really, REALLY need is a photo catalog or major fashion shoot. someone who will pay my rate so that i can pay off some bills and afford a sitter during those jobs.

OR, to work form home helping out producers for t.v.(for ACTUALLY pay, not deferred payment bullshit). i have DSL(unless they cut that too), computers(unless the power company cuts our power), a phone(but without power, they won't work, but even with cell and normal phones, well, we can't afford those either right now and we have the lowest rates), and PLENTY of computer skills, from microsoft office to professional graphics and photo software, on both PC & Mac.

oh..
and to top all of this off, i have had hardly ANYONE join up to be in my MS team! this hurts beyond anything, as I have MS. i do have team members, 3 and i am so grateful for them to join up. while i know the situation with one of my team memebers(she knows who she is, she has TONS on her plate and has been putting the word out there, etc). but, no one has hardly raised any money. it is hard to do, everyone has busy lives...but i am trying to raise money for a cure, i don't want to be on self-injectable drugs every other day for the rest of my life. i NEED team members who will help raise money. it hurts beyond anything that it "seems" no one feels that they have the time to send out emails to their family, friends, businesses, etc. i feel that i am the only one doing anything....i feel really let down here. while i can't afford to be a part of causes that my friends are doing, i support what they do, pass the word around etc. everywhere i go, not only do i network my photo business, i talk about the walk, give out brochures with my info on it and how to join up. i can't help feel that this is insulting to me. i know that many live far away, but you can be a team member to raise money, EVEN if you can't actually do the walk.

if they can't afford to donate, they can still be a team member, to help raise moeny and awareness. it's not like i sprung this on suddenly, i have been telling and notifing people since november!

and if they feel that they can't walk a lousy 3 miles..sorry but i need to pull this card out...i have MS, it's hard for me to walk in the mall, let alone 3 miles! if i did it in 2005, then you sure as hell can! saying it's too long is a sorry fucking excuse. i'm faced with an uncertain future, one where i might not be able to walk, talk, or do everyday normal functions that we all take for granted. i still suffer everyday with chronic pain all over my body, migrianes, my eyes hurt when stressed out(like now), EXTREME fatigue, etc. if i can get through my days with these and more, then the MS walk should be cake for the rest of you who are normal.

sorry, but that's how i feel, i hate putting it out there like that, but it's the fucking truth, and if you think i'm being a bitch, trust me, i'm not even there yet :(

-a way to see a positive side to everything and understand that when you add it up, we are truly lucky and thankful for all we have and more. it's not easy at all, but we try...
-my friend was able to come over last week, since the entire week i was suffering in agony and severe pain from a migriane that wouldn't go away. you know the kind you wkae up with? yeah, that was EVERYDAY last week for me. with all that she has to do with 2 gorgeous daughters, having FMS, and putting together a showing of her GORGEOUS work, she still came by. she helped me by letting me rest while the heavy duty migraine "loopy" meds took affect, took care of my daughter, made lunch and snacks AND cleaned our living room! because of her, i was able to get the rest i desperatly needed to be well enough to take care of my daughter and get things done. THANK YOU!

-saying i love you to family and friends
-having really good car insurance
-my grandma in nj returns home after being in a senior rehab since nov.

so this past weekend, we are heading into burbank for a free event. a good friend sent me $$ to get something at this event for her...this was BEFORE i knew that WAMU fucked me over!).

we get to my car(mind you i have only street parking), strapping jayden into her carseat and then while inside see that my passenger side rear window panel of my station wagon was smashed!

wtf????....

on the outside, you don't notice it at first as my windows are tinted so dark, is actually hard to look inside the back windows. upon further notice, we see that it didn't look like anyone was trying to get into my car. we found out from a neighbor that they saw kids throwing rocks, and he didn't know that my car got hit :(

so the only thing holding the glass was my tint...so ok, i'm pissed, but we have good insurance, give them a call, and they scheduled someone to come on monday morning to replace it.

my deductible was $250!!!!! ok, found out that my window WITHOUT insurance was $489 without the tint(an extra $30). but FUCK! i didn't have that, but like i said, this was BEFORE i got the letter from WAMU stating they took over $300 out of my account.

we can't prove who did this, but still! mother fuckers!

so now, i have NO money to buy formula for my baby, she's down to one large cannister, and she eats a lot. she can't take the generic brand of formula, so her food costs roughly a dollar an ounce....she eats about 6 ounce each feeding several times a day, a cannister is about 24 ounces each or so. 4 of them costs over $100..you do the math....

BUT WAIT..there's more!
at the same time i'm on the phone with USAA(our insurance), dave is transferring jayden adn the carseat, etc., to his car. i look at my tires and see that my front passenger side tire is completly flat!

greeeaaattt....

we were running late, so our neighbor, graciously let us park in their driveway until we come back to deal with that. mind you, i have $300 perreli tires(standard stock tire for my car, a Volvo V70 T5), and it's so flat, it's sitting on the 17" steel alloy wheels. not so good here.

call AAA later, they fill it up, find out that it's a slow leak and there's a nail in the tire.

SO, after my glass is replaced, i have to wait at least 1-2 hours for the glue to cure, then i drive to a tire place to have it taken out and plugged up....
$25...thankfully my tire is fine, however they are high performance tires, good for up to 35K, and need to be replaced in about 2-3 months whether i drive a lot or not. "thankfully", firestone has an equivalent to what is on my car for $195 each(that includes tire, parts, labor & balancing) and you need to do this in pairs or all 4 at once.
well i do plan on shopping around...

i love my car, it's fast, safe large enough for our needs, and maintenence is pretty low. it will last me a long time if i take care of it, and i do. i knew it was a high performance vehicle(5 cylinder turbo engine..yep, i like peppy cars), but at the time i bought it, i was working..doing fine...on top of bills, paying shit off...

so, yesterday, i take it to a place that does window tinting, $30, USAA reimbursed me by wiring it into my now probably overdrafted account....

so let's ad it up shall we?
$250+$25+$30=$305.00-$30=$275

after all the bills that i paid, food shopping, etc, and THEN that..before knowing about WAMU fucking me over....

hell yeah i have a right to be pissed "a little".

i am painfully aware of our situation, we are doing EVERYTHING we can to fix it....

and we get screwed for being good people, that try their best in everything....say what you want, i don't give a shit ....

as of today:
stay positive, pray for somethign to happen in a good way. forgive others and yourself....be happy, know that what we feel is normal, we are only human....

busted glass & job hunting '07(updated)

i "love" doing this. my favorite is giving my priovate info to places as i apply to them, and NEVER hearing back. and forgoet about follow-ups. half the time you can't reach anyone to email. sigh...like we all know, finding a job is a full time job.

personally, i would PREFER not to work right now. i love being at home with jayden, it's a real treat. while finacially we're in the toilet, it's worth it.

so, i'm sending resumes, etc to find a job that i can work out of home. data entry, anything to help out with bills. it's amazing, i have skillz, equipment, etc and i can't find anything. actually, no, that's not right, i have found plenty, but i don't hear anything back. IF i'm lucky, i get an auto response email...big whoop.

but we are happy, and healthy. last week was hard...

i had a migriane that lasted all week. it sucked! and on top of it, i wasn't able to get the rest needed to take my heavy medication for it. so friday, i was really desperate and in a lot of pain. you know the migraine that you can't get rid of, the kind you literally wake up with? yeah, that was me all last week.

so dave called heather and thankfully, she was able to come over to help me to be able to take my "loopy" meds, rest and take care of jayden. AND she cleaned our living room! and our place is a mess, as we are overwhelmed, literally. because of heather, i was able to recover and now i am migraine-free(for now).

saturday, we were heading into the valley to dark delecacies.. my friend, sarada, sent me $$ to go and pick up this limited perfumed oil. we are putting jayden into my car when i noticed that my rear window is busted!

apparently, some kids were playing with rocks and my car was the one that got hit. so i made the call to USAA, got an appt for the window to be replaced onsite. deductable was $250, but the window w/out the tint was $489. we can't prove who did this of course. $250 which we don't have, and i'm sweating bullets as i needed that money for my next round of medication! little fuckers!

so, it's fixed as well as my front right tire. it had a slow leak because of a nail in it. so now, i need to get that new window tinted to match the rest of the car, USAA said that they will pay for it too.

sigh, so i'm looking for work, ideally from home. i just need to help with the bills and to afford my medications. this sucks! if i get any job, i need to be sure that i can either A. work from home B. it pay major to help with childcare and our bills.

not complaining really, just a vent. and poor dave REALLY needs to get out of where he is too. but he is stuck, so he has his job with bennies, but living out here with me not working, it's not working....

Soon after Hagar's exit, Roth briefly reunited with the band and recorded several tracks. The band also made a high-profile appearance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards. Roth soon split with the band, and was briefly replaced by former Extreme frontman Gary Cherone in 1997. The ensuing album and concert tour was a flop, and Cherone left the band.

The period since has been tumultous for the hard-driving rock band. Hagar returned for a 2004-2006 stint and the band made several unsuccessful attempts to work with Roth. The band has been dormant since, despite a number of rumors the band would do everything from officially split up to participate in an edition of the TV reality series "Rockstar."
In the fall of 2006, Eddie Van Halen released two solo songs for the soundtrack of a porn movie called "Sacred Sin." At the same time, Roth was busy promoting his contribution to a bluegrass music tribute to Van Halen entitled "Strummin' With The Devil."
Van Halen will be inducted on March 12 into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and participants are expected to be Roth, Hagar, Eddie and Alex Van Halen and original bassist Michael Anthony, who recently said in an interview that he hasn't spoken to anyone in the band since the 2004 tour.

ok, so this past weekend was great. met up with friends, heard fantastic news all was just fine.

until monday morning....

apparently, i have what is called the intestinal flu...like the stomach virus, only i wish that i would puke, but i don't ever, so this makes me feel worse....

poor dave had to turn around from being at work for like 10 minutes to take me to the hospital. not only that, but i am not allowed to even hold jayden,, not even allowed to touch her. i have what is likly a virus that i may have contacted late saturday. we did go to the "petri dish playground" at the mall after lunch, this is where i suspect i got it. even though i applied hand sanitizer, etc. oh no, having a compromised immune system makes is all too easy....i'm in so much trouble when jayden starts school...

to make matters worse, the plumbing in our building is jacked up. so today, we are still waiting for the plumber to show up. our tub and toilet is backed up...again....this sucks ESPECIALLY when you're sick and had the chills and flash hot spells all day and the night before.

so, while today i am feeling better, i am on strict bedrest, tea, broth and plain toast. as if i needed to loose any more weight. oh and last night was a shot night which hurt like a motherf#$@r. apparently, you need some body fat otherwise injections hurt. and it hurt so bad(it stings and burns not only where i unject but the surrounding area) that i pulled it out before the injection was finished leaving a bruised, bloody area that became a large welt on my left thigh. it felt "great"! :P

my whole body aches, my meds make me have flu-like symptoms every day, so i really feel like shite. and poor dave, not only had to take care of me and jayden, but deal with plumbing issues that he is still dealing with today....

ok, going to go to bed now...catch up on some netflix battlestar gallacitica...oh and jayden just went down, JUST in time for the plumber to show up(soon i hope) with the router....since right now our toilet is not working again....

Escapee -- A fart that slips out while taking a leak at the urinal or forcing poop in a stall. This is usually accompanied by a sudden wave of panic/embarrassment. This is similar to the hot flash you receive when passing a police car while speeding. If you release an escapee, do not acknowledge it. Pretend it did not happen. If you are standing next to the farter at the urinal, pretend that you did not hear it. No one likes an escapee, it is uncomfortable for all involved. Making a joke or laughing makes both parties feel uneasy.

Jailbreak (Used in conjunction with escapee) -- When forcing poop, several farts slip out at a machine gun's pace. This is usually a side effect of diarrhea or a hangover. If this should happen do not panic, remain in the stall until everyone has left the bathroom so to spare everyone the awkwardness of what just occurred.

Courtesy Flush -- The act of flushing the toilet the instant the nose cone of the log hits the water and the poop is whisked away to an undisclosed location. This reduces the amount of air time the poop has to stink up the bathroom. This can help you avoid being caught doing the WALK OF SHAME.

Walk of Shame -- Walking from the stall, to the sink, to the door after you have just stunk-up the bathroom. This can be a very uncomfortable moment if someone walks in. As with all farts, it is best to pretend that the smell does not exist.

Out of the Closet Pooper -- A colleague who poops at work and is damn proud of it. You will often see an Out of the Closet Pooper enter the bathroom with a newspaper or magazine under their arm. Always look around the office for the Out of the Closet pooper before entering the bathroom.

Pooping Friends Network -- A group of coworkers who band together to ensure emergency pooping goes off without incident. This group can help you to monitor the whereabouts of OUT OF THE CLOSET POOPERS and identify SAFE HAVENS.

Safe Haven -- A seldom-used bathroom somewhere in the building where you can least expect visitors. Try floors that are predominantly of the opposite sex. This will reduce the odds of a pooper of your sex entering the bathroom.

Turd Burgler -- A pooper who does not realize that you are in the stall and tries to force the door open. This is one of the most shocking and vulnerable moments that occur when work taking a dump at work. If this occurs, remain in the stall until the TURD BURGLAR leaves. This way, you will avoid all uncomfortable eye contact.

Camo-cough -- A phony cough which alerts all new entrants into the bathroom that you are in a stall. This can be used to cover-up a WATERMELON or to alert potential TURD BURGLARS. Very effective when used in conjunction with an ASTAIRE.

Astaire -- A subtle toe-tap that is used to alert potential TURD BURGLARS that you are occupying a stall. This will remove all doubt that the stall is occupied. If you hear an ASTAIRE, leave the bathroom immediately so the pooper can poop in peace.

Watermelon -- A turd that creates a loud splash when hitting the toilet water. This is also an embarrassing incident. If you feel a WATERMELON coming on, create a diversion. See CAMO-COUGH.

Havana Omelet -- A load of diarrhea that creates a series of loud splashes in the toilet water. Often accompanied by an escapee. Try using a CAMO-COUGH with an ASTAIRE.

Uncle Ted -- A bathroom user who seems to linger around forever. Could spend extended lengths of time in front of the mirror or sitting on the pot. An UNCLE TED makes it difficult to relax while on the crapper, as you should always wait to drop your load when the bathroom is empty. This benefits you as well as the other bathroom attendees.

Fly-by -- The act of scouting out a bathroom before pooping. Walk in, check for other poopers. If there are others in the bathroom, leave, and come back again. Be careful not to become a FREQUENT FLYER. People may become suspicious if they catch you constantly going into the bathroom.

Crack Whore -- A crapper that has seen more ass than a Greyhound Bus. Tell- tale signs of a CRACK WHORE include pubes, piss stains and shit streaks. Avoid CRACK WHORES at all cost. Try finding out when the janitor cleans each particular bathroom. Don't forget, a CRACK WHORE can become a SAFE HAVEN.

dave and i would like to shout out a HUGE thank you to heather for watching jayden so that we could see a movie in an actual theater the first in about 5 months for our 10 year annivarsary. i'm glad that we saw this one, it was well worth it :D now, i hope that we can find a good one to see in the next 5 months ;)

we were married on jan. 11th, 1997......ah we were so young then, we only now realize it! i was 24 dave was 25, and we had barely finished college, so of course we didn't ahve any money! come to think of it, we still dont'!!! :P LOL he proposed with literally nothing. he was being evicted from his apt, unpaid bills, no job, no ring, not a single luxury. oh and he was moving in with me and my parents...things have worked out, i took a huge risk! LOL

so tomorrow is our 10th wedding annivarsary. we had originally planned on renewing our vows, but now that we have the best gift ever, we're going to wait 5 years so that jayden can be a part of the ceremony :) i'm making a nice dinner for us here at home, nice and cozy :)

dave's sick, jayden appears to be getting better, so heather p. has offered to babysit for us, so we're taking her up on it to go and see a movie this saturday. she asked if we wanted to do something on our actual day, since the 10th is a pretty important one, but dave will never get out of work in time to go see a movie. so saturday it is :D

'Them' Based on 'Six'

According to Variety, a new hour-long drama based on Six, the Image title by Michael Oeming, Daniel Berman, and Ethen Beavers, is being developed for Fox. The sci-fi series, titled Them, will follow a cell of aliens who take human form and begin experiencing human emotions.

It's being directed by Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3), and written by David Eick of Battlestar Galactica and John McNamara.

The show is being executive produced by Circle of Confusion's David Engel and David Alpert. Circle of Confusion is involved in several other comic-based projects (see "Paramount Options 'Invincible'" and "Charlize Theron in 'Jinx'" for example).

so the holidays were pretty good to us. we had a great time, a lot of things though we were not able to do this trip due to family circumstances. BUT it was still a great holiday:)

jayden was baptized at my church where i grew up and where dave and i married by my uncle david. he also baptized jayden too :D she slept through the entire ceremony even with the cold water. the gown is a family heirloom that was worn by my dad, my aunt, me, and my cousins and now jayden.

i did get to see a lot of family and 3 friends from college came down from new england. i'm going to update our website with pictures.

for new years we went my grade school friend, dawn's house for a small, low key party. my parents and my grandfather(popo) watched jayden for us. dawn literally lives on the street behind us, so we walked over. my college roomies joined us as well as a friend from h.s. and and old "friend" ;)

in town, walking around with my friends we came across some strange things, strange for a small town, but netherless, very amusing :D

and this one gave me and dave a chuckle :D

jayden is such a good baby! she met so many people during our visit, people i have known all my life. she smiled and cooed everyone. she started teething at 3 months, but over the holidays, it started in FULL swing as well as trying to mimic words. but it's hard for her as she is putting both of her hands in her mouth these days. on the plane she slept, the pressure changes didn't bother her a bit.

i shot this as we were heading to the airport to fly back to los angeles. next time we go home, we WILL see a movie and go into philly! YO PHILLY!!!!!!

we were at the sweetwater cafe having lunch after dropping canela off at the britnnay foundation in agua dulce(sweet water). they had the game on, so we got to catch some of it before heading off. last i saw it was 14-10 eagles. i was the only one at the place that was actually into the game! LOL it was really hard to contain myself, it was a good game from what we got to see.

very fitting as invinceable is coming out on dvd this week :D

after coming back from agua dulce, we stopped aff at the burbank media center to visit santa claus.

jayden was happy just to be there it seems, but dave and i asked for nothing but to be better finacially, at least to pay the bills :) it would be nice not to worry so much. it was a big wish, but hey, let's see if santa can pull through :D

my friend lisa is pregnant!!!! WOOHOO!!!! she and henri are due june 19th, 2007.

lil bugger kept her mouth shut until she hit 12 weeks! but i understand, after what we went through, damn i hate being an example!

so she treated me to CPK and we talked, oogled over jayden and i got to give her my prgcy books. it's nice to hear that the fertility book i gave her worked, ONE TIME! i'm so happy for them! at least one more couple didn't have to go through what we went through :)

the ER, the family "fun" place!

so last night was a shot night, i jabbed myself in my right ab. i go to sleep.

around 1AM, i wake up shivering, so hard that my entire body is convulsing and my teeth are clattering. not only that i have SEVERE abdomiable pain. i automatically go into my deep hypnobirthing breathing techniques, the pain was unbearable! when things finally pass after i sort of fainted/passed out, i am still shivering and shaking. i am freezing, but the apt and our room is toasty and my hips and all other joints are achy, sore, a dull to very painful feeling..not fun.

i figure, this is a flu-like symptom that is a side affect of my medication, so i take 4 extra strength tylenols. it fails. i call my MS nurse and she said to give it another 2 hours or less. well, i did stop shivering, but now i was so hot, i feel like i'm dying from the heat!

so my MS nurse on call(doris), says to go to the ER. great.....

we get there, jayden is still fast asleep and we have her well wrapped up and covered from whatever is in the air there. we arrived at 4AM, i finally get seen at 6AM. by then, my body is still achy, sore, etc., but now stiff as a board from the whelled gurneys they plop you into. while waiting poor dave is sleeping in the chair next to me, jayden is too in her stroller, and i'm trying to, but i can't. i am freezing to broiling still....

while we're there, there is this 19 year old kid, who is so high, he has no clue as to where is is. and apparently has been in restraints in the ER for 12 hours! he says he had a line or 2 of coke, but it was actually pcp or powdered meth. he was acting like one of my mom's kindergarten students, only they know how to use the bathroom on their own. this kid wets himself, and is speaking loudly in spanish & english all slurred. i understood him, he wanted to go home, and kept trying to get up and pulling his IV out of his arm...the poor nurses that had to deal with this kid!...

so i finally get seen and they of course want a gallon of blood and a urine sample. ok fine, but they are also getting a blood culter, so i get drained from both arms. here is what getting a blood culture means:
How is it used?
Blood cultures are done to detect the presence of bacteria or yeasts, which may have spread from a specific site in the body into the bloodstream. For example, if a person has bacterial pneumonia or bacterial meningitis, the causative organism may be recovered from the blood and the culture results will help your physician understand why you are not feeling well and how to treat you.

When is it ordered?
Your doctor may order blood cultures when you are having symptoms of septicemia or sepsis, which indicates that bacteria or their products are causing harm in your body. You may have chills, fever, nausea, rapid heartbeat, confusion, decreased urine output, and changes in other organ systems. If you have had a recent infection, surgical procedure, prosthetic heart valve replacement, or immunosuppressive therapy, you are at higher risk of a systemic infection and drawing blood cultures would be appropriate if you have these symptoms. Blood cultures are drawn more frequently in newborns who may have an infection but may not have the typical signs and symptoms of sepsis. Similarly, blood cultures are collected in young children to detect serious infections.

What does the test result mean?
If your blood culture is positive, it may mean that you have a bacterial or fungal infection in your bloodstream that needs to be treated immediately. Septicemia can be life- threatening, especially in immunocompromised patients. Your doctor may have started you on a broad spectrum antibiotic, often intravenous, that would be effective against a wide range of bacteria while waiting for the test results. Your doctor may change your antibiotic to be specific for the bacteria grown in your blood culture once that information is available from the laboratory.

A positive result could also be a false positive caused by skin contamination. If you have two blood culture sets positive with the same bacteria, it is more likely that the bacteria found in the culture are causing your infection. If one set is positive and one set is negative, it could be an infection or contamination. Your doctor will need to evaluate your clinical status and the type of bacteria found.

If the blood culture sets are both negative, the probability that you have sepsis caused by bacteria or yeasts is low; however, some microorganisms are more difficult to grow in culture and more testing may be required. Your symptoms may be due to a virus that would not grow in routine blood culture media designed to grow bacteria. Other laboratory tests would be required to diagnose a viral infection. Your doctor will have to evaluate your individual case.

Is there anything else I should know?
Because septicemia means the bacteria or yeasts have spread throughout the body, you may experience many different symptoms of illness. The immune system is struggling to overcome the infection and produces many factors to kill the bacteria that also make you feel sick. Septicemia can cause shock, a rapid heart rate, and can decrease the blood flow to your brain, heart, and kidneys as well as alter your blood clotting components, leading to disseminated intravascular coagulation (which can cause generalized bleeding). Bacteria in your blood may attach to your heart valves and cause damage and heart murmurs (endocarditis) or spread to your joints and cause septic arthritis.

Symptoms such as fever, chills, muscle pains, and exhaustion may also be seen with influenza (the flu). If you are ill during the flu season, your doctor may do an influenza test to rule out this viral respiratory infection. Both the flu and septicemia can be especially serious in the very young, elderly, and immunocompromised patient. It is important to differentiate between them because while they both need to be treated promptly, the treatments are different (antibacterial versus antiviral).

so i get my results back on friday, which is when i see dr. chai tea latte(it's dr. chai, but that's how i remember his name). and we are flying home next wed too. the ER doc wasn't thrilled about leaving to go anywhere until they know what the hell is going on. BUT i have no fever, but i do have that on going headache/migraine, stiff joints, which are also MS symptoms, except the ab pain & the chills/hot thing. but the conclusion is this:

When a virus makes you ill, doctors often say you have viral syndrome. There are hundreds of different kinds of viruses. They can cause illnesses such as colds, the flu, shingles, and measles, or just produce a general feeling of not being well.
Causes
Viruses are the smallest of all germs. Many spread easily from person to person.
Signs/Symptoms
Each virus has its own unique symptoms. However, many viruses produce fever, headache, sore muscles, extreme tiredness, and vomiting(so far no puking, i haven't since the fourth grade and i had a stomach virus, talk about a weight loss program! :P).
Care
Antibiotics won't cure viral infections. For certain types of viruses, however, your doctor can prescribe medicine that may make the infection less severe.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

You may use aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen for fever and body aches.
Rest until your temperature is normal (98.6 degrees F or 37 degrees C).
Get plenty of sleep. Your doctor will tell you if you should stay home from work.
Drink plenty of liquids.
Water, clear fruit juices, ginger ale, other sodas, and sports drinks are good choices.
Warm baths or showers may help relieve body aches.
Stay away from older people and young children. They can get very sick if they catch your infection.(whoops! well so far jayden is doing well, no signs yet)
Call Your Doctor If...
You have a high temperature.
You have vomiting for more than 24 hours and can't keep liquids down.
You start having really bad headaches, a stiff neck, trouble breathing, or problems with seeing.
Seek Care Immediately If...
You temperature is very high. You black out or faint.

so poor dave who didn't get much sleep either, had to help take care of me, meaning also taking care of jayden and he HAD to go in to work, so he left around 1PM. i still feel like crap, but i need to let this viral infection work its way out of me...i hope it goes away before our flight...

but the last time i had a viral infection i fainted in the shower and dave came home to find me like that with the water running when he called from work and i didn't pick up. i was sick & delierous and had bronchitus as well for a month, and this was after i was unknowing around kids that had chicken pox. i have never had chicken pox, and i was told that the next time i get infected, i will end up in the hosptial....happy happy joy joy

one day we were watching a show on fixing up and selling property & the "expert" on the show was our landlord, fred.

we found out during our pregnancy that our obgyn, dr. dwight delivered madonna's first baby at good sam's.

then one day, as i was watching one of my guilty pleasure's, dr. 90210 on the E! channel, one of the docs, a dr. li was getting an u/s of her first baby(this was a repeat show). and who walks in? the same docotor that did our u/s to determine the gender of jayden! dr. clifford bochner!

then during another show, our hosptial's maternity floor was where dr. li had her elective c-section. why would anyone elect to have a c-section is beyond us, but it gave us an idea of where we were going to give birth to jayden. at the time we were hoping & praying that i wouldn't need a c-section, which came true :)

weird........only in los angeles!

now, if only we can find a baby sitter, gee maybe that person has been on tv as well? shoot, then no WAY can we afford them ;) anyone out here recommend someone good? and not too $$$? seriously folks, dave & i would love to catch a matinee of a movie, at least one time before we head back home for the holidays...perhaps we can barter baby sitting times?

-feeding and changing jayden(i try to help, but the AM is one of my weaker times, i don't trust myself to pick her up let alone walk with her until i "warm up")

-come home
-shower(actually take a bath..our shower thingie is apart as they are fixing the ceiling)
-fart around on the internet
-get ready to take jayden to her 3 month check up and shots with me
-go to dr. george(her ped), watch as the nurse jabs her with a needle(or 2 or 3) that are much bigger than mine...
-take us all to run errands(food shopping, etc.)

i want to do something for him, lucky bastard's b-day is on a weekend unlike mine was in the middle of the week this year..and will be for a few more years :P

in new jersey, it's a crucial part of driver's ed. to know how to hit a deer so that you don't get killed. i'm so not joking here, there is a HUGE population of deer for a state so small. i had a friend who's home is on an ancient deer run and they come across their back and front yard daily. i've also personally witnessed a huge buck get run over by a van on a major highway. traffic stopped this happened right in front of us(mom was driving). my mom was so upset, that she got out of the car to help 3 other people to drag this animal off to the side, poor thing was kicking and screaming. the van was wrecked too, but the person driving was ok. the buck just darted across the road....

i'm not against hunting usually, it's how people survived back in the good ole days...

Zack Snyder’s been taking some footage from his new film, Frank Miller’s 300, around to journalists and wowing them (I see the footage next week). He’s also been talking up his next project – Watchmen.

It seems that Snyder and his screenwriter Alex Tse have cracked the graphic novel in their own way. He told SciFi Wire what he thought the problem with the other attempts on the movie was: “What they tried to do is turn it into a movie. And that's not really how we approached it. ... [Co-writer Alex [Tse] and I were [like], 'What ... [about the] graphic novel do we love? Let's do that!' And I think that when we delivered that version of the script to [Warner Bros], and it was long of course, ... it's not [a metaphor for the] war on terror, it's not like trying to be, like, bulls--t updated. You know, which gets confusing. And then Adrian [Veidt]'s story gets all, like, lost with that. So ... that was the thing that cracked it: Just going back to the source. Saying, 'OK, why does this work here?' It seemed really obvious. It was weird. ... It's pretty exciting. They're pretty excited."

Snyder insists that the studio is excited about setting the movie in 1985, when the comic originally came out, and having Richard Nixon still be president. Watchmen takes place in an alternate universe that answers the question of what would have happened if a real superhuman being had existed – in this case the all-powerful Dr. Manhattan. Snyder’s vision is to have the movie open with a tour of the Watchmen universe’s alternate history, from the Kennedy assassination and Vietnam all the way through to 85.

On monday I had to teach Werner Herzog how to use iMovie. This might be the most sureal thing I 've had to do yet. As most of you know, I worked with him on "Grizzly Man". Now He is going to Antartica to shoot his next Doc and because they will have limited web access, they decided to use iMovie as a way to capture selects and send them back here for review.It can capture HD through a firewire and compress the edited movie so to a size they can email to us.
It was very strange teaching someone who is an international acclaimed director how to use a consumer video editing program designed for 6th graders. Werner was an excelent student! Eat your heart out John Columubus!

and yet another chapter begins

aside from the fact that everyday is an absolute joy with jayden now here, another chapter has started..finally.

this past monday i started my MS treatments. most of you know that i had withheld my treatments until we had a baby. my last MRI's showed that i have progressed, i have relapsing remitting MS(RRMS). i'm still in great shape as MS goes, but i do have active lesions on my brain that will turn into "black holes", basically permant damage. my treatments, whether betaseron or the others, this folks is for life.

SO, i'm on betaseron, it's so far fun stuff. it's an interferon that will slow down the progression and hopefully help to not get any new sypmtoms like, not being able to walk :) there are 3 other self injectables, but my neuro wants to see how i do on this first. for now, my doses are small and by xmas, i should be on the full dosage.

i get a huge box every month by fedex overnight. in that box contains a month's supply. my syringe, solution, vial, alcohol swabs come prepacked each. i have to inject myself every other day and rotate my injection sites. besides the thighs and arms, i must also inject in my abs.

being how we like to document stuff on video or "film" dave taped my first night adn i was all prepared, iced my site, mixed my solution with the med in the vial, attached the syringe, swabed my right upper thigh and.......i couldn't do it.

dave ended up injecting me, he's very good at it from our fertility meds. i was upset, but i knew i had to do it the next time.

and on wed i did! in my right ab:D it hurt a little, but i did it :D

tonight(friday) i get to use the autoinjector. you load the filled syringe into it, and hold it against you, push a button and you don't see the needle :D

update:
i finally did inject myself with the autoinjector. the first time around, dave had to do it, since i'm a big chicken. but the next time i did it. but last night, and tomorrow, dave has to do it until i figure out how to inject myself in the glutes. it's not easy to get the right angle and that thing has a major kickback to it, you need 2 hands, one to push the button the other to hold it steady..

and for some reason, last night really stung! he said that the alcohol dried off before he injected..sigh...oh well....

and another thing i "found" out:
my injection sites can be sore for days...my left thigh and butt are sore..OUCH! geesh!

i ned to remember to ask my doctor for the correct paperwork so that security at LAX and Philly won't give me too hard of a time. i can't check in these drugs and i cannot seperate the syringes from the medications. each doseage is individually packaged...

oh they are going to "love" me ;)

Her publicist says the 59-year-old Dobson, who spent most of her adult life in New York, died Monday of complications from pneumonia and multiple sclerosis at a care center in Baltimore.

Dobson was born in Baltimore and graduated from Western High School. She began her modeling career in fashion shows at the Maryland Institute College of Art and then moved to New York.

She appeared in many magazines, including Vogue and Essence, and television commercials for Faberge, Chanel and Revlon.
But she's best remembered for playing the kung-fu fighting, huge-Afro-wearing government agent Cleopatra Jones in 1973.
Dobson, who stood 6 feet, 2 inches tall, reprised the role in 1975's "Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold."

Dobson also appeared in the movies "Come Back, Charleston Blue," "Norman, Is That You?" "Murder at the World Series," and "Chained Heat."

so since i'm also in a strange mood, i also have william shatner on the brain too. perhaps it's because i finally got around to watching his roast that i taped off comedy central? it was hilarious! some time ago, i got off of iTunes these 2 albums:

long overdue blog, we know. but we have been kinda "busy" ;)

of course we have a new "devil spawn" child we foundly call jayden. and she is really cute :D and it's not because we're her parents that say this, but wow, she really is! her nickname is still tiki, but lately with a congested nose, she's been grunting, so we have been calling her piglet too ;)

so yeah, the parental units(grandparents) have been in town for a while. grandpa left the other day, my oldest cousin below me is getting married this weekend. we were planning on going, but we dont' think that at 3 weeks, jayden should be flying just yet. she and the other JMAR aren't "quite" equals ;)

to pass the time, other than changing diapers, feeding, etc., when we can't simply pass out in exhaustion, we watch stuff we recorded on the DVRs. like:

yes, this little gem of a tv show that airs on the scifi channel, is actually entertaining and fun to watch.

it's "kinda" like Mayberry meets the x-files, Eureka is a small town that has the world's most important scientists living there, creating...ummm..scientific, top-secret inventions. there's everything that a small town could need, schools, churches, cafes, etc. everyone, including the kids are super-geniuses.

and of course theres some "eye candy". a really cute u.s. marshal turned town sheriff and this super hot lady that works in the town's scientic/top secret company. lately, Colin Ferguson, is on my top five list ;)

there's more to it than i write here, but really, i'm too tired :) this show is really fun, the special effects are pretty good. i don't know too much about budgets for tv/film, but this one must have a large one, considering the amount of detail that goes into this show.

(dave Here) I love this show, Sci fi comedy is very hard to do. Eureka has much of the same formula that made "Men in Black" so much fun. Furgusons smart but inexperienced Marshal truned small town sherif (with top-secret clearance) has to contend with day to day police duties such as giving speeding tickets (to people on foot) and the occasional doomsday device rising up out of forgotten silo in the center of town. It is quirky with being overly cliche`.

so for me(deirdre), i could never get into dr. who(the old and the new), but this show dave and i can both enjoy together. and of course there's the new season of battlestar galactica(which we have to finish season one).
we've downloaded season one off of iTunes, earlier this year. other stuff has come up, but we figure we can catch up while jayden is awake at 4AM....

A crime was commited on television as one man,Kevin Federline, destroyed a musical genre with a 30 year history. Hip Hop was murdered in front of a crowd of young onlookers who undoubtedly clapped and cheered only in fear of their own lives. This poser hacks only talent is spending Britany's money. I hope she has set up a trust fund for her babies.She should have learned from J'Lo: DON"T MARRY YOUR BACKUP DANCER!!!! There isn't enough money to buy him the "street cred" he so desparately wants. This stupid fuck wouldn't even make it past the first round on American Idol. He can't even stay on beat. The other guys on stage with him are way more talented and sadly we will never know their names because "KFed" has ruined their careers before they even got started. So watch as this tragedy unfolds on video. RIP Hip Hop

pas this around the web folks and get others to take notice. this could very well happen to any of us who rent.....the place that our friend mike is really giving him and the other tenants a shitty deal by not paying them a relocation fee and they have very limited time left. no one can even budge, since it's so $$$$$ here in los angeles to move around the city for a new place to live.

bruno kirby dies

waking up early in the AM has advantages, like:
-going to woot.com and finding a JVC mini HD cam for $200(and that included shipping). perfect for me to to tote around with and capture my future daughter's most embarrassing moments to show to her boyfriends ;)
-finding out that a young actor has died, one that has been in your favortie movies :(

apparantly he died young at 57 from complications of leukemia. i had no idea that he was sick as he was dx not too long ago...he always played quirky characters, and was known for that strange voice of his :) some of his films included: godfather part deux, when harry met sally, city slickers, & donnie brasco.

this sort of hits home with me and my family. my cousin pam pam(what we would all call her, but her name was pamela), fought the same disease, and had beat it. she died from complications to her damaged immune system. a weird strain of the pneumonia got her and she was sadly gone within a week. she was just getting her hair back too..

RIP bruno, Pam Pam, i really miss you :(
